A symposium gathering international specialists  and historians of performance art takes place for each edition of the PerformanceProcess exhibition and festival. In 2015, the symposium Performance Art in Question took place at the Centre culturel suisse in Paris on December 5th.

In 2018, the symposium, co-organized by Museum Tinguely and Kunsthalle Basel, in partnership with Centre culturel suisse Paris, takes place at the two venues on January 26 and 27, 2018. An international gathering of historians of performance art, artists, curators, and other practitioners will discuss the theoretical, historical, and practical aspects of performance art and its legacies
